We want to make your navigation through store as easy as possible. Since we carry such a wide selection of hot comics, manga, heroes graphic novels, trade paperbacks including Transformer and Marvel, Jab comics and multitudinous other stuff, sometimes it's a little hard to find exactly what you are looking for. To make it a little easier, here is a store map.
The bookshelves are lined up by company, creator or genre. Within each section, they are aligned by family. Please don't hesitate to ask for assistance - Brad does all the time.
To make sure you don't miss any weekly books, we have GREEN (or YELLOW depending on who you ask) NEW signs marking the books that arrived the most recent ship week. This is in addition to the front display that features many of the top books of the week.
Since the feature shelves can hold less than 40 recommendations, and we receive as many as 200 new books in a week, the NEW tags really come in handy. You can also ask for a SHIPPING LIST or print one out from our online list.
We also have PINK SHIPPED LAST WEEK tags for the hot comics and manga books, Graphic Novels and Trade Paperbacks (Transformer, Marvel and everything else) included, that came out the previous week. NEW COVER tags indicate a second printing (or later) book that boasts a different version from the first printing. It will also be marked with an arrival sign if it is new.
Every Wednesday, Austin Books opens at 9 AM with the week's shipment of new books, re-orders, special orders, and our usual charm. Occasionally there will be an event, such as a holiday, which will delay the receipt of our weekly shipment of new books for a day.
On rare occasions, unplanned events can disrupt or delay delivery. On such days, we will give our customers as much notice as possible. And since these delays pain us as much as they do you, we may have unannounced specials to calm your savage comic-deprived breasts. You can get on our mailing list to be notified via email of all events.

When you receive the SHIPPING THIS WEEK email, just respond with a list of books you would like us to hold. They will be set aside behind the counter (much like a traditional pull service) until you pick them up. No paperwork to sign, no forced pick-up, no hassle. Pretty cool, huh? Of course, we would prefer that you try and make it by weekly anyway. In that case, there is usually no risk involved since we order plenty of everything. But this works when you are travelling, busy, or just can't make it in.
