If collections are your thing, you'll be one happy camper. It's our goal to have every available trade paperback, graphic novel, and collection in stock, always. If you don't find what you're looking for, we'll offer to reserve you a copy of any available title and re-order it. All graphic novels are 10% off every day!

This is the only section in the store organized by creator. Here yo'll find the works of Chris Ware, Art Spiegelman, Jeffrey Brown, Alison Bechdel, Los Bros Hernandez, and many other well-known and upcoming creators.
We have a section dedicated to all the great new archive collections they're putting together featuring classic comics from throughout the history of the medium. Classic Marvel and DC, the awesome horror and shock EC Comics, all the great Dark Horse Archives, classic comic strip volumes, and lots more!
Right at the front of Austin Books you'll find the All Ages comics and collections. Look for Bone, Archie titles, Disney comics, and spinner racks full of all-ages Marvel and DC titles. It's a safe section you’ll see right as you walk in, and in view of the front counters. Ask us for recommendations!
There's a full selection of manga titles organized alphabetically by title. From shojo to shonen, Japanese to Original English Language , you'll find it all here. If there's anything you don't see, we're happy to special order any available title for you. Remember, all Manga is 10% Off every day!
Most comic shops have abandoned carrying back issues because they take up a lot of space. Because of our 6,000 square feet, we're able to dedicate an entire back room to housing 200,000+ back issues (and more every week!), all alphabetically and numerically organized in our custom-made back issue bins. If you've got a collection you're looking to complete (or start!), your search should begin at Austin Books. The Austin Chronicle called us the "Library of Alexandria of Comics," after all.
For the past five years, we've been building a collection of classic comics from the Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages, and hot Modern comics. Take a look at our Showcase Wall, representing dozens of boxes of valuable rarities. And if you've got a certain Holy Grail comic you've been looking for, let us know! We’ll either have it, or we can keep our eyes open for it.
We have a full stock of available art books featuring comics-related, custom culture, pin-up, and rising artists. This is also where you’ll find art mags like Hi-Fructose, Juxtaposition, and Illustration magazine.
