Scott Pilgrim's Midnight Premiere @ Austin Books!
We're super-stoked about the last Scott Pilgrim volume, so when Oni Press told us we'd be able to sell it early we had starry visions of a real rock' n roll midnight release party. And you know WE'RE the ones that will do it up right. Join us on Monday, July 19th for one of the biggest comic releases of the year!
Here's what to expect when the party kicks off at 8pm.
Play Dress Up - There's a costume contest, so dress up as your favorite character! Are you going to be Scott? Ramona? Knives? One of the evil ex-boyfriends? The costume we judge the awesomest will get a set of Scott Pilgrim volumes 1-6!
SWEET Door Prize - Everyone who joins us for the evening's fun can enter our door prize drawing for two tickets and $50 booze/grub money to the sexiest theater in town - The Gold Class Cinema at the Domain Austin!
Get Your Rock Star On - We'll be hosting a special Rock Band competition, and the winning Sex Bob-omb wannabes will get an original NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, complete with two controllers and three classic games from our friends at Game Over Video Games! They also brought gift certificates for the slightly-less-rocking second and third place winners.
Slacker Grub - You'll gets snack cakes, honey buns, bottled water, and you'll be able to sulk along with Scott Pilgrim with your very own to-go package of ramen noodles! Why, Ramona... WHY?!?
Midnight - That's when Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour officially goes on sale at Austin Books! We'll have PLENTY of copies available (because we know to order enough not to run out), but you can reserve a copy for yourself by confirming your attendance at our Facebook event page.
