Venom: Lethal Protector #1
Venom: Lethal Protector #1 “Oh hi, we’re Venom” lol I will admit it was that shiny foil cover that got me. Well played Marvel.

-Manuel F.

Batman Adventures: Mad Love
My lovely husband Ryan got me Mad Love just 2 years ago! Now we come up there every Saturday! It’s our weekend ritual!

-Brittany B.

Doctor Mirage #1
While I always knew about comics and superheroes growing up, I didn’t get seriously into comics until 2005 with Bendis’ New Avengers, Brubaker’s Captain America, and Slott’s She-Hulk. However! Interestingly enough, as big of a Valiant fan as I am today, the earliest comic I remember having was a copy of the original Valiant Doctor Mirage I got at a kids fair giveaway when I was about 6 or 7.

-Patrick K.

Legion of Super Heroes #221
This is one of the first comics I can remember reading. I don’t know if I got it the month it came out (I would’ve been 5 tops) but I do know it ignited by passion for DC Comics in general and team comics specifically. The LSH is still my favorite super-team. I don’t imagine that will ever change.

-Hershal W.

Classic X-Men #13
Not the first I read, but the first I owned and bought with my own money. Classic X-Men #13, reprinting X-Men #105. I was instantly hooked by the amazing Art Adams cover and fell in love with the Claremont/Cockrum duo (a love that lasts to this day).

-Benjamin B.

Rom #1
If I recall correctly, my first ever comic (bought off of a Stop N Go spinner rack) was Rom The SpaceKnight #1.

In their infinite wisdom, my parents bought the Rom toy for me as a Christmas gift. The sounds! The LEDs! Oh, the mystery and grandeur of it all! When I saw the comic, I knew I had to have it.

Little did I know it would lead me into a lifetime of loving the medium. And guess what, I still have both the comic and the toy.

-Sean W.

Superman #687
I bought a pack of comics when I was in middle school with my first allowance I ever got! This was one I remember from that pack!
