UPDATE:

Hey everyone,
It’s time for some good news and some bad news.
The good news is we will be getting this week’s books up and ready for sale tomorrow, Tuesday the 24th. As soon as they are processed, we will be putting them on the shelves. Stay tuned for when they are ready.
We will be extending our hours at Austin Books until 10pm tomorrow so everyone will be able to grab what they need.
The bad news is that it is looking like the city of Austin will be enacting a shelter in place order.
Here is what that will mean: we won’t be able to have customers in our shops or do curbside delivery.
BUT…
We will be able to send you orders through the United States postal service. Anything from back issues, pull lists, games, toys, statues, or anything else within the walls of our shops or warehouse.

These are trying times. Everyone of you is near and dear to our hearts. We wouldn’t even be here without you. Please allow us to help fill your time and provide a little escapism.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Stay safe, stay smart, but most importantly, stay hopeful.

-your friends and family at the Center of Austin Fandom

Curbside Service at Austin Books & Comics
We will remain open normal store hours until there is a State or City mandate ordering us to temporarily close. In that event, and we are allowed to continue curbside, that will be the next option. Otherwise, we will do whatever we can to stay HEALTHY and open within our ability.

We have canceled all after hours gaming, art shows and events. Oh, and Free Comic Book Day is delayed until later in the year on a date yet to be determined.

Health and safety are very important to us and we’re taking precautions to ensure a safe shopping environment. We also understand that we provide much needed entertainment and escapism during difficult times. That’s why we’re administering high levels of caution to provide you with a safe place to get your reading materials.

Only healthy employees are working (we’re all healthy at this time). We’re washing our hands regularly and using strong cleaning supplies on the front counter, register, credit card machines and all regularly used equipment.

Additionally, and for a limited time, we’re offering curbside delivery with payment by PayPal (info@www.austinbooks.com), Venmo (https://venmo.com/austinbooks) or Credit Card. Call ahead (512-454-4197) and make arrangements. We can also ship your comics directly to you.

Be safe. Shop safe.
We will get through this together.

Discounted TPBs at Austin Books & Comics

Discounted Trade Paperbacks

If you would like to help us out (and can afford to do so — please don’t hurt yourselves), use one of the following links for add-on purchases. So far, we just have a list of available trade paperbacks but we will be adding a list of discount toys and a list of discount bagged sets.

Up To 80% off Trade Paperbacks

These aren’t Sidekick Leftovers but fresh stock! You may have noticed that there were a few thousand TPBs missing from the shelves. Ty pulled stuff that we don’t plan to restock (and a bunch of it is out of print). Brad has been working diligently getting the books online for a pull service much like our weekly pull list. The items are first come, first serve and generally limited to just a few copies of each. We’re hoping to have links available soon so that you can shop wisely.

PLEASE NOTE: these books are in the warehouse, not in the store, so they’ll be available for purchase later in the week (Fridays if ordered by end of day Thursday) — or they can be shipped for a modest shipping fee.

Comic Bulk Packs at Austin Books & Comics

Stay Sane and Entertained Bulk Packs

We made some 15 count bulk packs of 80’s, 90’s and 00’s comics for the ridiculously low price of $5. Add one of more to your weekly Pull List while we still have stock — no limits.

More will be arriving Friday 3/27.

Available in Marvel, DC and Independent
