Last Week’s Results:

What is your favorite comfort read?

Mine would have to be the IDW reprints of the Lil’ Abner strips from 1934-1945 and some other comic books and strips from around that era.

-Charles Cunyus

Marvel Spiderman as a kid with Todd Mc drawing, but i started leaning towards the XO manowar with Valiant… I like the suit and the story, it just keeps me.

-Aaron Miller

Kamandi. It was the first comic that I bought. It was the first series that I collected. i still gives me great joy to read it today. I feel like Jack Kirby created a unique and original world with Kamandi that sadly has never been fully explored. It was fun, interesting and never dull.

-Greg Trosclair

The original Amazing Spider-man!

-Peter A.

Decorum #1 blew me away. That art is nuts!

Punisher: Soviet by Garth Ennis is just a really incredible, well-written little story. Ennis is still one of the best writers working.

Undiscovered Country is a blast and a half.

Valkyrie seems to flying under the radar. Really great book.

And X-Men. Probably my favorite overall.

  • Arthur M says:

As a fan of all things Doom, I’m digging the Doctor Doom series. Also looking forward to Outlaws and hoping Marvel finally explores the the long term effects of Civil War and the SH Registration Act.

  • Rob Hartle says:

I second Kamandi. I’m a child of the ’70s and I remember that one fondly. Does anyone remember OMAC?

Right now I’m really digging Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Miles Morales: Spider-Man. Also Ditko Spider-Man. You could say I’m on a Spider-Man kick, I guess.

The bad news is that it is looking like the city of Austin will be enacting a shelter in place order.
Here is what that will mean: we won’t be able to have customers in our shops or do curbside delivery.
We will be able to send you orders through the USPS.
