Movie adaptations, because they normally have bigger budgets, which can lead to bigger scenes ideal for the big screen.

What online comic media do you follow?

The used to write reviews for ComicCrusaders.com, so I look at their site still. I read ComicsBeat.com CBR.com and Comicbook.com for news regularly. Sufi Wire is a good site as well.

If you REALLY want awesome comic conversation, you have to go to the FM radio here in Austin. 91.7 KOOP on Wednesday evenings from 6-7. Amazing comic show. Which I could meet the DJ. 🙂

-Bryan Spaulding

Through Twitter, I follow @Newsarama, @CBR, @bleedingcool, @01FirstSecond, @geneluenyang, @ZiaComics, @goraina, and naturally @AustinBooks.

-Peter A.

Bleeding Cool online,
And then Comic Tropes over on YouTube for a great and appreciative history of the comics medium.
And for physical reads Alter Ego and The Jack Kirby Collector.

Plus Austin Books of course. 🙂

Dr. Strange written by Mike Mignola and art by Bill Sienkiewicz.

-David Villarreal

Stan Lee & Jack Kirby & Joe Sinnot on The Fantastic Four.

My dream comic is the planned “Twilight of the Superheroes” by Alan Moore. Seemed like everything I could ever want from a DC comic.

What are your current favorite comics?

Catching up on Tom King’s Batman. I’ll be very sad when it’s over!

I’m also loving This absolutely bonkers run of Green Lantern. It’s everything I want from Grant Morrison.

-Nic Acosta

I second Kamandi. I’m a child of the ’70s and I remember that one fondly. Does anyone remember OMAC?

Right now I’m really digging Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Miles Morales: Spider-Man. Also Ditko Spider-Man. You could say I’m on a Spider-Man kick, I guess.

-Rob Hartle

As a fan of all things Doom, I’m digging the Doctor Doom series. Also looking forward to Outlaws and hoping Marvel finally explores the the long term effects of Civil War and the SH Registration Act.

-Arthur M.

Decorum #1 blew me away. That art is nuts!

Punisher: Soviet by Garth Ennis is just a really incredible, well-written little story. Ennis is still one of the best writers working.

Undiscovered Country is a blast and a half.

Valkyrie seems to flying under the radar. Really great book.

And X-Men. Probably my favorite overall.

What is your favorite comfort read?

Mine would have to be the IDW reprints of the Lil’ Abner strips from 1934-1945 and some other comic books and strips from around that era.

-Charles Cunyus

Marvel Spiderman as a kid with Todd Mc drawing, but i started leaning towards the XO manowar with Valiant… I like the suit and the story, it just keeps me.

-Aaron Miller

Kamandi. It was the first comic that I bought. It was the first series that I collected. i still gives me great joy to read it today. I feel like Jack Kirby created a unique and original world with Kamandi that sadly has never been fully explored. It was fun, interesting and never dull.

-Greg Trosclair

The original Amazing Spider-man!
