Of Dust and Blood Signing

Of Dust and Blood

Wednesday, March 29

4 PM – 7 PM

On Wednesday, March 29th, we will be joined by artist Val Mayerik and Jim Berry for a signing of their new hardcover graphic novel about the Battle of Little Big Horn, Of Dust and Blood. The graphic novel is not yet available to the direct market, so this is a wonderful opportunity to get it early, and get it signed by both the artist and writer!

About Of Dust and Blood:

OF DUST AND BLOOD: A Story from Custer’s Fight at The Greasy Grass, is an original graphic novel from writer Jim Berry and veteran illustrator Val Mayerik. The story details the day of The Battle At The Little Big Horn through the eyes of Greenhaw, a 7th Cavalry scout on one side of the battlefield, and Slowhawk, a young Lakota warrior on the other.

The book focuses on a compelling drama while also being as historically accurate as possible via quotes and documented actions on every page. There will be featured appearances by the famous protagonists of the day – G.A. Custer, Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse – but we’ve chosen to focus on two fictional characters, and use them as lenses to show what it might have been like on that hot afternoon in 1876 for two ordinary men pressed into battle.
