Creature Comforts: An Art Show Celebrating Animal & Creature Characters From the World of Pop Culture!

It’s that time again. Guzu Gallery is gearing up for an all-new group art exhibition…and this show promises to be a real wild one! Adorning the gallery walls will be spectacular creatures great and small, big and tall, lovable and unlovable, cute…and, well, not so cute! Join Guzu and our artistic companions on an exotic safari through the wondrous world of pop culture!
Twenty talented artists from Austin and the surrounding area will pay tribute to an eclectic range of pop culture animal and creature characters, via limited edition prints and original artwork. The opening reception will be on Friday, June 9th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through July 10th. All artwork will be available for purchase. As always, admission is free and all ages are welcome!
Guzu Gallery welcomes everyone to the show, but if you can’t make it out, the artwork will be available for purchase in our online store on Wednesday, June 14th around Noon CST.
The Kickstarter sensation is now in print! We will be hosting Night Owl Society creator James Venhaus for a signing on Sunday, May 7th.

Many of these free comics are introductions to big, new storylines or new series. It’s a fantastic way to try out something new!
In addition to the free tent, we will also have the return of the long-awaited FIVE DOLLAR TENT! Filled with toys, figures, and merch, every single item in the tent is just five bucks!

Fabian Rangel Jr is a coffee addicted comic book writer based out of Corpus Christi, Texas. He’s the writer/co-creator of Doc Unknown (Dark Horse Comics), Space Riders (Black Mask Studios), Helena Crash (IDW), ‘Namwolf (Albatross), and Blood Brothers: Hermanos de Sangre. He’s also worked on such properties as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mouse Guard, Jim Henson’s The Storyteller, and Lucha Underground.
