Our biggest day of the year!
Each fan who joins us on Free Comic Book Day Saturday, May 4th (8am – 6pm) will be able to choose 10 FREE COMICS from a wide selection available in our huge tent set-up, many of which lead into the biggest events and new series of the year!
FCBD is an all-ages event! We’ve organized the comics for our recommendations for age-appropriateness. Parents, we’re here to make sure you’re getting the right book for your young readers!
Austin Books, Guzu Gallery, Outlaw Moon, & The Sidekick Store will each be having a drawing for a $100 Gift Card, good at all of our stores. Stop by each one on FCBD to increase your chances of winning!
The Sidekick Store will have a special sale all day during Free Comic Book Day.
Want to be prepared for Free Comic Book Day? Here are some helpful hints:
- See what all will be available at freecomicbookday.com! That way you’ll know what to get when it’s your turn to pick.
- Use Snapchat? Check out our special Free Comic Book Day filter!
- Free parking will be available in the big lot across the street this year.
- Stay hydrated if it’s hot. The line doesn’t take long, but we do have water and drinks available.
- When you pick out your ten comics, bring them to our tent staff. We’ll put them in a bag with your name so you can visit our stores and enter our drawings!
- Costumes are encouraged! We have a special costume photo area available this year.
- Be sure to tag your photos @AustinBooks so we can share them!
